Lorient and Angers meet in Ligue 1 on Sunday, 15 February 2026 at the Stade du Moustoir, with one point between the mid-table rivals and a chance for the hosts to climb above their visitors.

Angers won the reverse fixture 2-0 in October, but Lorient have momentum at home and sit just a point back in 11th to the visitors' 10th. The hosts won three league games on the spin before last weekend's setback at Brest.

Lorient's surge featured victories at Monaco and Rennes and against Nantes. Angers steadied after two defeats with a draw and back-to-back 1-0 home wins over Metz and Toulouse, though their returns on the road have been modest with nine away points from 10 trips.

Benjamin Leroy, Bandiougou Fadiga and Abdoulaye Faye are injured for Lorient. Haris Belkebla is sidelined for Angers.

Both sides tend not to dominate the ball, averaging 44% possession for Lorient and 43% for Angers this season. The visitors have been tighter defensively, with 25 goals conceded and eight clean sheets, underpinned by goalkeeper Herve Koffi. Lorient carry more shot volume, and Pablo Pagis leads their league scoring with six. Pagis and Bamba Dieng could test an Angers defence that prefers to sit compact.

A win would lift Lorient to 31 points and could see them leapfrog Angers. Victory for Angers would take them to 32 points and strengthen their top half position, keeping them clear in the mid-table pack.
