Lucas Chevalier subject of enquiries amid uncertain PSG future | OneFootball

Lucas Chevalier (24) has been the subject of several enquiries from other clubs amid uncertainty surrounding his future at Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from L’Équipe.

The Frenchman joined PSG in the summer from formative club Lille OSC in a deal worth €40m. However, he has yet to convince and in recent weeks, he has lost his position as Les Parisiens’ No.1. His last appearance in the UEFA Champions League dates back to 20th January. His last appearance full stop came three days later in a 1-0 win over AJ Auxerre.

Matvey Safonov has performed well in his absence, even though Luis Enrique does not see the Russian as his long-term No.1, according to L’Équipe. That would mean that, in the event of Chevalier leaving, PSG would recruit in the goalkeeper position in the summer. 

And a departure for the Frenchman cannot be ruled out, should the situation not change between now and the end of the season. Chevalier is determined to fight for his place but, for his future, he cannot remain the No.2. Clubs are aware of that and several have already made enquiries.
