Lucas Veríssimo trained on Monday and could make his Santos return after Luan Peres's suspension created an opening.

According to Globo.com, Luan Peres was sent off for two yellow cards in Sunday's derby with Corinthians in the Brasileirão.

On the squad's first day back after the weekend draw, Veríssimo worked on the pitch with the substitutes and those not involved in the derby.

Juan Pablo Vojvoda's staff opened the week with technical and tactical drills, and there is an indication he could make his first appearance back at the club in midweek.

Santos face Internacional in the league at Vila Belmiro on Wednesday at 21:30 Brasília time.

Veríssimo has not played since 27 February, when he logged 78 minutes in Umm-Salal's draw with Al-Wakrah in Qatar's national league.

Before that pause, he had been a regular starter for Al-Wakrah, making 14 appearances in the Qatar Stars League.
