Juventus is enduring a tough start to the Serie A season. After eight rounds, the club sits only 8th in the standings. On Monday, the management decided to part ways with 47-year-old coach Igor Tudor.

In the search for his replacement, several names were in the mix, including Luciano Spalletti (66) and Raffaele Palladino (41). According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus has accelerated negotiations with Spalletti, who has now emerged as the number one choice.

A meeting is reportedly scheduled as early as Tuesday to try and reach an agreement. Juve is said to be offering a contract until the end of the season, with an automatic extension if the club secures a Champions League spot. Spalletti has even turned down offers from abroad to prioritize the Turin project.
