Luis Advíncula has left Boca Juniors to return to Alianza Lima. His father said it was a personal choice, not driven by sporting or contractual matters, to finish his career at home and be near family, speaking after the player’s Noche Blanquiazul 2026 unveiling.

“The time has come for him to finish his career here, in Lima. After speaking with the club, the chance arose and today he is playing for Alianza,” he told Inka Digital TV.

“Most of the family support Alianza. Seeing him in this shirt is a great joy.”

Advíncula returns to Liga 1 after years in Europe, a spell at Boca and a long career with the Peru national team. His arrival adds experience to a side aiming to compete locally and internationally in 2026.

On the team’s present, his father welcomed the start of Pablo Guede’s tenure, avoided comparisons and sounded optimistic, noting a positive mood after recent performances.

He also praised Paolo Guerrero. “Paolo is still Paolo. Whenever he has the chance, he responds.”
