Flamengo have stepped up their pursuit of Zenit forward Luiz Henrique after receiving no concrete response from Thiago Almada. The Brazilian is a leading target in the current window.
GE reports that Flamengo have tabled an offer worth about 30 million euros, with a further five million euros in bonuses.
“I cannot talk about that now. I just want to perform as well as possible for my club so that, later, together with my family, I can decide my future,” said Luiz Henrique, speaking to GOAT in March.
The forward came through at Fluminense, earned a move to Betis, then in 2024 was part of the Botafogo squad that won the Libertadores and the Brasileirão.
Before Botafogo sealed his signing in 2024, Flamengo made an official bid to Betis, but the Spanish club accepted the offer from General Severiano.
On Tuesday, Portuguese executive José Boto said Flamengo were working across several fronts rather than fixating on a single target.
Flamengo are racing the clock, with the Libertadores knockouts looming. They face Cruzeiro on Wednesday 12, and must register any new signing by Friday to use him in this stage.
