Lyon’s Rayan Cherki proposed to Napoli over a potential transfer | OneFootball

According to Matteo Moretto, Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki (21) has been proposed to Napoli in recent days as a potential transfer target.

The Serie A club are looking to recruit reinforcements in attacking midfield and attack following the sale of Kvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain for €75m. Several players have been linked with replacing the imperious Georgian international at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona with Rayan Cherki the latest.

OL are in a position where they need to make sales before the end of the January transfer window in order to satisfy the demands of the DNCG to avoid relegation to Ligue 2 at the end of the season. The 21-year-old is considered one of the most prized assets at the Groupama Stadium and has attracted to the interest of several clubs including Liverpool. Cherki is valued by Les Gones at €30m. However, with only two sales made so far, Lyon could be forced to sell for a lower fee.
