Liverpool are making big changes on the wings this summer.

We could see Cody Gakpo depart as Tottenham looms into focus as a destination for the Dutchman. Mohamed Salah is also facing an exit - having reached an agreement to rip up his £400k per week contract one year early.

And one more casualty during the offseason is likely to be Federico Chiesa. The 28-year-old joined Liverpool back in 2024 from Juventus in a deal that could reach £12.5m.

The Italian has only ever been a marginal figure at Anfield - making only two starts under Arne Slot in the Premier League last season.

Liverpool open door to Chiesa exit

It’s thought that the outgoing Premier League champions will be open to a sale this summer at around €20m (£17m). And former club Juventus look set to make an offer to attract Chiesa back.

Juve are moving in a new direction under Giovanni Carnevali - now “team manager” as well as new CEO. And the Turin giants’ boss is embarking on what La Gazzetta dello Sport is calling a “Made in Italy” campaign to restore Juve to their former glory.

Part of the plan is to bring in a core of Italians - and a big part of that will be the acquisition of Chiesa. But the report claims that Juve are only seeking a loan move to begin with - and it’s unclear whether that will be enough to entice Liverpool to do business.

Juve's "Made In Italy" bid for Chiesa

“The former Juventus player could leave Liverpool on loan; he knows both Spalletti and Juventus well, and could become a versatile asset to strengthen the attack,” the report reads.

Chiesa makes around £150k per week and a loan deal would clear that sum off the wage bill - potentially freeing up salary for new signings.

He has also previously worked with Luciano Spalletti - the Juventus coach - for the Italian national team.
