A 25-year-old man has been given a three-year football banning order for racially abusing Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz on social media after two matches against Liverpool, Cumbria Police confirmed.

Harry Brown, from Barrow in the north west of England, targeted the 24-year-old after Muniz scored in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw at Anfield in December 2024, then again following the reverse fixture in April 2025.

Muniz reported the abuse, and Brown admitted the offences at a hearing in December 2025.

He was sentenced on 22 January at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court for two malicious communications offences. The court imposed the three-year ban and ordered him to complete 150 hours of unpaid work within the next year.

The investigation involved the Premier League, the UK Football Policing Unit and Cumbria Police football officers, who identified the account and the person behind it before an arrest.
