FC Bayern’s search for reinforcements in attack is in full swing, and alongside Ismael Saibari and other candidates, one prominent name keeps cropping up: Marcus Rashford. According to recent media reports, Manchester United would be prepared to make significant concessions to the Munich club in the event of a potential transfer
FC Bayern are continuing to sound out the transfer market intensively, and although the signing of Ismael Saibari is said to be close to completion, those responsible are still on the lookout for further options in attack
Most recently, Marcus Rashford has been repeatedly linked with the German record champions. The England international is facing an uncertain future at Manchester United and could leave the club this summer
According to reports in the Spanish newspaper Sport, United would even be prepared to make concessions to Bayern in the event of a potential move, with the Red Devils willing to provide „every conceivable support“ to make a transfer possible
Above all, the financial framework conditions are currently seen as the biggest hurdle
While Bayern are said to be interested in principle, Rashford’s salary in particular presents a challenge. The attacking player is one of Manchester United’s top earners and would probably have to make financial concessions in order to move
United are also apparently flexible when it comes to the transfer fee. Depending on the source, the demands range between 30 and 40 million euros. According to Sport, however, the English club could be prepared to make significant concessions in the negotiations
The background is clear: Manchester United want to create planning security as quickly as possible
According to the report, the Premier League club is aiming for a solution by June 30, with Rashford to be taken off the payroll so that those responsible can press ahead with their squad planning for the new season
This situation could be interesting for Bayern, as a player with the quality and experience of the 28-year-old would be an attractive market opportunity at a reduced price

However, a move to Munich is by no means a foregone conclusion. According to information from Spain, Rashford still prefers to stay at FC Barcelona
The attacker spent last season on loan with the Catalans and made a positive impression there. Accordingly, he would like to see his long-term future in Spain
However, Barcelona currently appear to be pursuing other priorities on the transfer market, with sporting director Deco and the club’s management said to be evaluating several alternatives more highly and are therefore taking their time with a potential decision
This is precisely what is causing displeasure at Manchester United, who want clarity as soon as possible and cannot afford to wait for months
It remains to be seen whether FC Bayern can capitalize on this. Munich’s current focus is clearly on the signings of Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown. Only if progress is made in these personnel matters and additional revenue is generated through player sales could further offensive transfers become concrete
One thing is certain, however: if Rashford does indeed come onto the market at a reduced price, the name is likely to continue to be closely monitored at Säbener Straße.
