Manchester United’s interim manager Michael Carrick has hit the ground running since replacing Ruben Amorim at the Old Trafford club, winning his first three games against Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham.

Man United stars were ready to work for him, impress and finish the campaign stronger after stuttering under the Portuguese.

While some of the Red Devils players struggled with form under Amorim, many of them have been on top of their game under Carrick.

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has been one of the best players at Man United in recent weeks, and he has the boss to thank.

He has thanked Carrick and said that he was feeling like a footballer again after just a couple of weeks under him, according to The Athletic.

The former Real Madrid star is leaving the Old Trafford club at the end of the season, but he will not be short of suitors in Europe if he maintains his current form going forward.

Casemiro has always placed a high value on the need to be respected, and he has been at his best under Carrick.

The 33-year-old has started in each of the last three games, performing well alongside Kobbie Mainoo in the two-man defensive midfield Man United have been playing after their new boss switched to a 4-2-3-1 formation.

He weighed in with a goal and an assist in the 3-2 victory over Fulham and will be looking forward to putting in another outstanding performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Mainoo is another player who will be grateful that Man United brought in Carrick after Amorim left.

The 20-year-old had made all his 19 league appearances this season until Carrick arrived from the bench.

However, he has started and finished the last three games and talks over a contract renewal have resumed after he had looked to leave under Amorim.
