Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is currently on loan at Barcelona.
The Catalan club can trigger his £26 million buy-out clause this summer, but they are reportedly seeking another loan transfer.
Barcelona have put this proposal to United, who are considering whether to agree to a second loan deal, per the Mirror.
The Red Devils are desperate to reduce their wage bill, and Rashford’s salary will go back up to £315,000-a-week if the club secures Champions League qualification.
They are on the brink of qualifying for Europe following their 1-0 victory at Chelsea on Sunday.
United are third in the standings, eight points ahead of sixth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion.
Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly not keen to have Rashford back on the books.
Barca have been covering his wages, and United would want this to continue if they are to agree to another loan deal.
The England international has revived his career in Spain after falling out of favour under former United manager Ruben Amorim.
Rashford has bagged 12 goals and 13 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions this season.
He has averaged 2.6 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.3 ball recoveries per game in La Liga.
Amorim is no longer in charge, but the forward is loving life in Barcelona and wants to continue with them.
