Last month, journalist Matteo Moretto reported that PSG are closely monitoring Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde ahead of the summer should Nuno Mendes depart.
Nonetheless, Mendes extended his contract with the Parisians until 2029, so it will be interesting to see if the capital club still have Balde on their radar to compete with the Portuguese standout.
Still, PSG manager Luis Enrique hasn’t been afraid to demand two top players at one position as he’s done with Bradley Barcola and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who both play on the left side.
Enrique also prefers to rotate his squad to keep everyone fresh, so perhaps there could be room for the Ligue 1 side to pursue Balde, but if this file is still on PSG’s list, they’ll face competition.

Fichajes reports that Manchester United are the team that has most strongly entered the bidding for Balde. The English club are looking to strengthen its defense and believes that the young Blaugrana youth player would fit perfectly into its scheme.
The report also claims that Barcelona’s delicate financial situation could open the door to a multi-million-dollar sale if the Red Devils’ offer is tempting enough. At Old Trafford, they are willing to make a considerable financial effort to sign the Spanish international.
This season, Balde has appeared in 33 matches across all competitions while scoring one goal and recording six assists.
