Real Betis have raised their offer to sign Manchester United winger Antony on loan, it has been revealed.

The £82m winger tumbled down the pecking order this season under former boss Erik ten Hag and has remained on the fringes since Ruben Amorim took charge, with the Portugueserewarded for putting his faith in young Amad Diallo instead.

Antony is available for transfer this month and Betis emerged as the first significant suitors at the start of the month, but the significant cost of a loan deal - even with United subsidising a share of his wages - makes the deal complicated.

Local Spanish publication ABC de Sevilla, who were the first to report on Betis' interest earlier this month, note a second bid has now been submitted which comes closer to meeting United's demands.

United accept that they will need to contribute to Antony's wages but are seeking guarantees over the 24-year-old's playtime, keen to see him given a fair chance to raise his value ahead of a possible permanent exit.

Antony is said to be keen to move to Spain and is currently prioritising Betis, who have the added allure of Conference League football to offer.

Meanwhile, United are also handling approaches for another winger, Alejandro Garnacho. Napoli have already seen a bid rejected, while Chelsea have also expressed an interest in the Argentina international.
