In a recent report, The Sun claimed that Manchester City are eyeing a move for Chelsea winger Pedro Neto. It has been stated that the Mancunian giants are prepared to make a surprise move to bring the Portuguese wide player to the Etihad Stadium this off-season.

Neto’s Impressive Record At Chelsea

Neto enjoyed a productive campaign at the West London club recently as he produced a lot of impressive performances for them in the final third. The Portuguese wing wizard registered ten goals and grabbed ten assists in 52 matches for the Blues last season in multiple competitions.

The 26-year-old is currently one of the most talented wide players in the Premier League. Thus, it is no wonder that Man City are showing interest in recruiting him in this transfer window.

His current contract at Stamford Bridge will expire in the summer of 2031, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian giants to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Should Chelsea Boss Enzo Maresca Go For Neto?

Neto can use his quickness to beat his marker out in the wide positions. He is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has the vision to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field.

The Portugal international can shoot the ball with venom from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the flanks. Neto is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or a centre-forward if required. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at the Mancunian club.
