In a recent post on X, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Manchester City are in the mix to land Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi. It has been revealed that the Mancunian giants are facing competition in the form of Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the race to sign the French striker in this summer transfer period.

Kroupi’s Impressive Numbers In English Football

The 19-year-old enjoyed a productive campaign at the English club as he was responsible for putting in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. Kroupi played in 35 matches for the Cherries last season, finding the back of the net 13 times in the process across various competitions.

The French attacker is currently one of the most promising young forwards in the Premier League. Thus, it is no wonder that Man City are in the race to secure his services this summer.

His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will expire in the summer of 2030. Therefore, the Mancunian club would have to make a convincing offer if they want to stand a chance of signing him later this year.

Should Manchester City Move In For Kroupi?

Kroupi is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer the odd chance for his teammates on the offensive end of the field and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The French sensation can chip in by scoring his fair share of goals up top. Kroupi is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as an attacking midfielder or as a left-winger if needed. He is already quite experienced in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club.

We can expect Kroupi to bring more quality and depth to Man City’s frontline. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team place at the Etihad Stadium in the future.

At 19, Kroupi has got the potential to be a world-class striker someday. Plus, he will also help the Mancunian club compete across all fronts over the next decade. All in all, Man City should focus on moving in for him later this year.
