In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Manchester City are keeping a keen eye on Lille keeper Berke Ozer. It is understood that the Mancunian club are eager to get a deal done for the Turkish custodian next year.
The 25-year-old is having a solid campaign at the French club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in Ligue 1. Ozer has conceded 25 goals and earned seven clean sheets in 20 appearances for Lille this season in all competitions.
The Turkish talent has proven his worth as one of the best keepers in Ligue 1 this season. Thus, it is no surprise that Man City are showing interest in recruiting Ozer next year.
His current contract at Lille will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Mancunian giants to sign him on a cut-price deal this winter or at the end of this season.

Ozer can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks when he is playing with confidence on the pitch. He is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make some top saves at the back for his team.
Standing at 1.91m, the Turkish sensation can use his strong frame to dominate his penalty area. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the high intensity of the Premier League if Man City manage to snap him up next year.
We can expect Ozer to bring more quality to Pep Guardiola’s squad. He is good enough to challenge Gianluigi Donnarumma for a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club in the coming years.
At 25, Ozer has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Man City to consider this January or next summer. However, Guardiola has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can get the best out of the player. With all things considered, Man City would be wise to move in for Ozer soon as he would help them compete across all fronts in the future.
