In a recent print edition, Sport claimed that Manchester City are leading the race for Palmeiras winger Eduardo Conceicao. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian club are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Brazilian wide player later this year.
Conceicao has come through the youth ranks of Palmeiras and has done well to establish himself as a key member of their senior team. The 16-year-old has featured in 13 matches for the Brazilian club’s U-20 side, scoring five goals and securing three assists in the process across various competitions.
The Brazilian sensation is currently one of the most gifted wingers in his homeland. Thus, Man City would do well to bring him on board in the summer transfer window.
His current contract at the Brazilian club will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian giants to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Conceicao is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with it out on the flanks. He has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates to find the back of the net.
The Brazilian whizkid can even shoot the ball with venom from long range. Conceicao is primarily a left-winger but can also fill in as an attacking midfielder if asked to do so by his manager. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Man City manage to snap him up this off-season.
We can expect Conceicao to bring more quality and depth to Pep Guardiola’s attack in the long run. At the moment, he might struggle to get into Man City’s match-day squad.
However, Conceicao has the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. At 16, he is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Guardiola would be wise to move in for him at the end of this campaign. However, the Mancunian giants would have to be patient with his development before they can unlock the best out of the youngster.
