Manchester City have won the Women’s Super League, their second crown and first in 10 years.

L'Équipe reports that City, on 52 points with one match remaining, are certain to finish top after Arsenal drew 1-1 at Brighton on Wednesday.

Chelsea, second on 46 points, cannot catch City even if they win their two games in hand.

The triumph ends Chelsea’s run of consecutive titles, a streak that spanned Emma Hayes from 2020 to 2024 and her successor Sonia Bompastor in 2025.

City’s squad includes Alex Greenwood, Lauren Hemp and former Bordeaux forward Khadija Shaw. After City’s first championship in 2016, the WSL had been shared exclusively by Arsenal or Chelsea.
