Andree Jeglertz has hinted that Grace Clinton could make her Manchester City debut on Friday against Tottenham, after he provided an injury update on the England international and Sydney Lohmann.
Clinton has yet to make an appearance for Manchester City since joining the club on deadline day.
The 22-year-old, who helped England win Euro 2025 in the summer, made the switch from rivals Manchester United.
It was a cross-city switch that saw Jess Park head in the opposite direction to the Red Devils.
German international Lohmann also joined City in the summer from Bayern Munich.
Like Clinton, Lohmann has yet to feature for Manchester City so far during the summer transfer window.
There are promising signs that Grace Clinton could make her Manchester City debut against Tottenham on Friday.
Clinton played for Tottenham on loan during the 2023-24 Women’s Super League campaign.
She scored four goals in 20 WSL appearances and was named the PFA Young Player of the Year.
Ahead of the game, head coach Andree Jeglertz said: “Grace has been training fully with the team this week.
“Tomorrow is the last session so we’ll see how that goes, but she’s definitely on her way.”
If Clinton is to feature against her former side, it would more likely be off the bench than from the starting XI.
City will be keen to have her back in the squad after a mixed start to the season. A defeat to Chelsea was followed by a comeback victory against Brighton.
As well as providing an injury update on Grace Clinton, Andree Jeglertz addressed the absence of Sydney Lohmann.
The German international has been out of action with a leg injury after featuring for Germany at Euro 2025.
However, it appears the 25-year-old is still some way away from making her return.
Jeglertz said: “Sydney [Lohmann] is on her way, (but) most likely not really ready (for Tottenham.”
Manchester City make the trip to Tottenham on Friday, September 19th.
The fixture will kick-off at 19:30pm, and the game will be available to watch on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Mix.
Tottenham are ahead of Manchester City in the table, after starting their season with victories over West Ham and Everton.
Ahead of the game, Olga Ahtinen said that Tottenham ‘have to build on their momentum‘ after their positive start.
She said: “It’s really nice to continue that winning run, but also not to have conceded gives us further confidence on the things that work, the defending we did and the hard work we put in. It was a really good team effort.
“I know that’s what we want [three points] early in the season but, as a group, we want to build on the momentum and continue the positive displays from pre-season.”
