With only a few games left to play in the 2024-25 season, clubs across Europe are planning their moves for the upcoming summer transfer window. FC Barcelona are also finalising their plans to strengthen the team ahead of the next season.

Manchester City interested in Dani Olmo

One such player who impressed quite a lot in this last season was the midfielder Dani Olmo, who arrived at Barcelona only last year, but has fit like a glove in the Catalan team.

With his good performances this year, the Spaniard is already attracting interest from one big European club, as Fichajes reports that the Premier League side Manchester City is interested in his signing.

The Citizens are looking to fill the void left by Kevin de Bruyne’s departure, and Olmo is the ideal candidate for this purpose. Pep Guardiola is particularly attracted by his versatility, understanding of positional play, and ability to unbalance defences, and the Premier League side is looking to convince Barcelona with an €80 million offer.

Barcelona might be tempted

Although the Blaugranes would be tempted to get such a significant cash injection into their coffers, especially as an earlier report indicated they will study any offer they receive for their players. Still, it will not be easy for them to part ways with a player who has performed at such a high level since his return to the club only a year ago.

In addition to the Barcelona star, the report claims Manchester City is also looking to sign the Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes to bolster its attack. For now, it remains to be seen whether either of Dani Olmo or Rodrygo joins City.
