The annual celebration is one of the UK’s longest-running festivals of LGBTQ+ culture, consisting of a variety of events taking place across Greater Manchester from 15 to 25 August 2025.
Tomorrow, in line with tradition, fans and representatives from the Club will participate in the annual Pride Parade, taking place throughout the City Centre. Fans attending tomorrow’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur will also be able to join in the celebrations with special matchday activations as well as pride-themed content in the matchday programme, including an interview with City Matters’ new Chair and LGBTQ+ Representative Lee Broadstock.
In addition, this year the Club marked the start of the celebrations earlier in the week with a first-of-its-kind Love This City Pride event at Wilson’s Social.
Wednesday evening’s special event saw members of Canal St Blues – Manchester City’s LGBTQ+ Supporters Branch, representatives of City Matters, the Club’s official fan network - as well as guests from Manchester Laces, Queer Manchester, AF League, Women In Football, Women’s Sport Collective, members of City & Proud and Manchester City's staff network for LGBTQ+ allies; come together over food, drinks and music to show allyship to the community as we collectively celebrate Manchester Pride 2025.
The Club also hosted its annual flag-raising ceremony outside the Etihad Stadium. Last night Danny Wilson, Managing Director of Manchester City Operations and other Club staff joined representatives from City Matters, Manchester City Women’s Official Supporters Club, The Proud Trust, Sparkle, African Rainbow Family, Cross St Chapel and Village Manchester FC to enjoy an evening of togetherness and learning.
The flag, which is located outside of West Reception, will be proudly on display for all who are visiting the stadium over the weekend to see, reinforcing the Club’s commitment to making the Etihad Stadium a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.
Those taking part in this weekend’s celebrations can wear accessories from the Manchester City Football Club Pride range which are available in the City Stores at the Etihad Campus or in the Arndale shopping centre. Items from the range, including the 2025/26 Manchester City Pride Graphic Tee are also available on the online store.
On behalf of the Club, we would like to wish a happy Manchester Pride to all who are celebrating!
