Manchester City sign Swiss international attacker Beney | OneFootball

Manchester City have completed the signing of Swiss international attacker Iman Beney on a four-year deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens this afternoon.

The 18-year-old joins Manchester City from Swiss club BSC Young Boys where she has spent all of her professional playing career to date. Beney was an AXA Women’s Super League winner with YB this season, guiding the club into Europe in the process.

On the international stage, Beney has already broken into the senior Switzerland side. She has collected 10 senior caps for her country so far.

After joining Manchester City, Beney said “I’m very happy to be here and I can’t wait to start the new season with Manchester City. I had a good feeling with Therese [Sjögran] and I think City is the best solution to help develop me as a player.

“They have good ambition for next season and for my development, City is the best place. They are a club who like to keep possession and I really like to have the ball, so I think it’s a good fit.

“I would also like to thank everyone at Young Boys who has helped me on my journey so far.”

Beney is Manchester City’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
