Manchester City take on Fulham today in their final Premier League fixture of the 24/25 season. Pep Guardiola’s side needs at least a point today to secure Champions League football for next season. They’ll be eager to pick up all three points today against a quality Fulham side. That way, they’ll avoid any nervous moments on the final day of the season. Newcastle United, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest will all be hoping that Manchester slip up today. So Pep Guardiola’s side has one more job to do to ensure that they qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Manchester City will enter today’s match with two players unavailable for selection. Mateo Kovacic is suspended for today’s game. Kovacic was sent off in the second half of City’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola told the media on Friday that John Stones is the only player who isn’t fit enough to play in today’s match. That is good news for Manchester City ahead of today’s critical fixture.
Ederson- The Brazilian international is an automatic selection for today’s game, in my opinion.
Matheus Nunes- I’d be surprised if Nunes didn’t start at Craven Cottage today. He played well against Bournemouth outside of his late error, which led to Bournemouth’s consolation goal.
Ruben Dias- -An automatic selection once again for today’s match.
Manuel Akanji- The Swiss international started against Bournemouth alongside Ruben Dias at centre-back. I expect him to start again today.
Josko Gvardiol- If Dias and Akanji start at centre-back, I’d expect Jokso Gvardiol to start at left-back.
Nico – With Kovacic suspended and Nico putting in a promising cameo against Bournemouth, he has earned the right to start today.
Bernardo Silva- Bernardo is one of City’s most important players, and he’ll definitely start at Craven Cottage.
Kevin De Bruyne- Today’s match is likely the last time we’ll see Kevin De Bruyne play for Manchester City. I expect him to start, and hopefully, we will get one or two more pieces of magic from him today.
Jeremy Doku- Doku deserves to start and I’m expecting him to in an attempt to break open the Fulham defence.
Omar Marmoush- Marmoush is an automatic selection for today’s match and his ability to do the spectacular could be crucial against Fulham.
Erling Haaland- Part of me expects a big performance from Erling Haaland today. He’s had three games to get his touch back, and if he can fire today, it could book Manchester City’s spot in next season’s Champions League.
