One player who has tentatively been named as a potential transfer target for Manchester City is Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise. Christian Falk has previously reported for CF Bayern Insider that City and Liverpool are monitoring the progress of the French international. At his best, Olise is one of the best wingers in world football. Since signing for Bayern Munich, he has established himself as one of the best attacking players in the game.
A new report has named a potential price that could tempt Bayern to sell one of their key players. If City did intend to sign Olise, they’d have to go big to sign the French international.
Christian Falk has reported for CF Bayern Insider that if Manchester City, Liverpool or any other club interested in signing Michael Olise bid over €100 million for the French international, it could test Bayern Munich’s resolve to keep their star man. Furthermore, Falk reports that Bayern Munich do not want to lose Michael Olise. Falk adds that Bayern intends to offer Michael Olise a new contract to fend off any interest from Manchester City and Liverpool.
If Manchester City intended to sign Michael Olise next summer, they’d have to go big to sign him. Bayern Munich would drive a hard bargain and wouldn’t make it easy for City or Liverpool to sign Olise. That’s an understandable stance from the Bundesliga giants. Olise is a key player for Vincent Kompany’s side. He is one of their main attacking outlets and one of their most dangerous attacking weapons. Understandably, a huge transfer fee would have to be paid to sign Michael Olise.
There is a lot to play out before City move for Olise. It would be a move they’d have to explore next summer. Pep Guardiola’s side may not be in the market for a winger next summer. Especially if Jeremy Doku and Savinho develop as players. Manchester City’s reported interest in signing Michael Olise is a story to store in the back pocket for next summer. There is unlikely to be any movement on that particular front anytime soon.
