Manchester City’s Rayan Cherki returns to first-team training | OneFootball

Rayan Cherki (22) returned to first-team training on Sunday, ahead of Manchester City’s UEFA Europa League match against AS Monaco on Wednesday night.

He has played just 71 minutes of football this season, netting once, before then suffering a hamstring injury. However, Cherki had a medical test at the start of last week, which showed that the injury, which he sustained at the end of August, had fully healed.

Cherki expected to miss UCL clash against Monaco

It was suggested by L’Équipe that the France international could have been involved in the game against Burnley over the weekend. Ultimately, the playmaker missed that encounter. However, L’Équipe understands that he returned to first-team training on Sunday.

It is not expected, however, that the former Olympique Lyonnais man will be involved at the Stade Louis II tomorrow. It is possible, however, that he could face Brentford in the Premier League this coming weekend.
