Manchester United enquire about Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku | OneFootball

Christopher Nkunku (27) is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, however, he may not be leaving the Premier League.

Nkunku, initially through injury, has struggled to establish himself at Stamford Bridge since his big-money move from RB Leipzig. Last season, he featured sparingly under Enzo Maresca, who often opted to play the Frenchman in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Despite travelling with the Blues to the USA for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup, it is thought that the former Paris Saint-Germain forward will be on the move.

Manchester United could be willing to welcome Nkunku to Old Trafford, according to a report from L’Équipe. The Red Devils missed out on securing any form of European football for next season, but they are looking to invest heavily this summer. Matheus Cunha has already arrived, but two more forwards are sought after.

They have, therefore, contacted Nkunku’s entourage, although no bid has yet been submitted for the Frenchman. L’Équipe cite interest from other unnamed clubs, none of which are engaged in serious negotiations.
