It is never surprising to hear that any given player dreams of joining FC Barcelona at some point. After all, the Catalan club is among the most prestigious sides in all of European football. However, it has become increasingly difficult in recent years for Barcelona to wrap up transfer operations with ease.

Considering their financial difficulties and the various restrictions imposed upon them, the club has had to deal with some frustrating operations in recent times. The most recent of such is undoubtedly the Nico Williams case, considering that the player has already renewed his contract with Athletic Club.
However, that does not mean that the Catalan giants are completely incapable of getting certain deals over the line. For instance, Joan Garcia has already been signed by Barcelona, and the club is more than confident about successfully registering him.
Keeping that in mind, a new possibility could now present itself in the form of Marcus Rashford and his ongoing issues with Manchester United. According to Fabrizio Romano, the latest development in the whole saga concerning the English winger and the Premier League club suggests that everything is over between the two.
For context, Romano has reported that United is set to give Rashford’s number ‘10’ to new signing Matheus Cunha. As such, it is essentially understood by all parties that he will not be continuing with them beyond the end of this summer transfer window.
That is where Barcelona comes in, because the Catalan club is the ideal destination for the 27-year-old English forward. He reportedly dreams of the move, and it is an operation that he is giving priority to as well.
As for La Blaugrana themselves, the latest update in their search for a new left-winger suggests that they want to focus on Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. Still, Rashford is an option that they are keeping in mind and his arrival could be considered a real possibility if the right conditions align.
