In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Manchester United have joined the race for Real Madrid keeper Andriy Lunin. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils would have to compete with Inter Milan in the race to land the Ukrainian keeper this off-season.
Lunin struggled to earn regular first-team starts at the Madrid club in the previous campaign but managed to put in a few impressive displays for them in La Liga. The 27-year-old conceded 21 goals and earned just one clean sheet in 12 matches for Los Blancos last season in various competitions.
The Ukrainian talent is currently among the most talented keepers in La Liga. Thus, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are hoping to snap him up later this year.
His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will expire in the summer of 2030, which could make it difficult for Man United to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Lunin can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks when he is playing regularly and with confidence on the pitch. He is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make a few top saves at the back for his team.
The Brazilian talent can use his commanding 1.91m to dominate his penalty box and doesn’t mind clearing the danger when being chased down by the opposition attackers. However, there are some concerns over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to secure his services this summer.
We can expect Lunin to enhance the quality of Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s backline. He is good enough to compete with Senne Lammens for a regular starting spot at the Mancunian club in the coming seasons.
At 27, Lunin has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for Carrick’s needs this summer. He will help the Mancunian giants challenge across all fronts over the next few years. Hence, Man United should focus on snapping him up soon.
