Man United will look to build on successive wins over Arsenal and Man City when they host Fulham this weekend
After beating Manchester City in the derby in Michael Carrick’s first game as head coach, Man Utd have since followed that up with arguably an even more impressive result.
Goals from Bryan Mbeumo, Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha saw Man United score three times against Arsenal on Sunday, becoming the first visiting team to win at the Emirates Stadium this season.
That victory coupled with Liverpool losing to Bournemouth means United sit fourth in the Premier League table.
Attentions now shift towards the visit of Fulham this weekend as Carrick seeks to oversee a third straight win and perhaps boost his chances of landing the head coach role on a permanent basis.
Perhaps the one negative from the win over Arsenal was the Dorgu injury scare, though there has been some positive news regarding the in-form Man Utd star.
That said, here’s a look at the latest on the Manchester United injuries...
As mentioned above, Dorgu did not complete 90 minutes against Arsenal as he was forced off late on after pulling up while attempting to latch on to a ball over the top.
The Denmark international was seen clutching his right hamstring before receiving treatment and then eventually being replaced by Benjamin Sesko.
However, speaking after the game, Carrick played down fears of a significant problem for Dorgu.

"He came off with hopefully a little bit of cramp, but hopefully it's nothing worse," Carrick said.
"He ended up coming off but I think it just shows what he put in with his performance. But yeah absolutely delighted for him, just hope he's not too bad."
On whether it was definitely cramp rather than a hamstring issue, Carrick added: "At this stage it's hard to tell. We'll just have to wait and see but for sure we're hoping that it's not too bad."
Potential return date: February 1 vs Fulham (H)
Remarkably, Matthijs de Ligt has not featured for Manchester United since the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the end of November.
This means the Dutchman - who was ever-present in the Premier League at that point - has missed the last 11 games across all competitions with a lower back problem.
Speaking before the win over Arsenal, Carrick confirmed De Ligt had suffered a setback in his recovery but is hopeful of having the defender back at some point in the next fortnight.
“He had a bit of setback. Well, not really a setback, before I arrived. [It was] only small but he was a little bit slower than we would have liked.
“He is getting closer and hopefully in the next couple of weeks he will be back and around it.”
Potential return date: February
A a muscular problem has denied Joshua Zirkzee the chance to be apart of Carrick’s first two matchday squads.
Though, like his Dutch compatriot De Ligt, the forward is expected to be available for selection at some point in the next fortnight.
