Manchester United’s resolve to keep hold of Chelsea target Alejandro Garnacho is ‘wavering’ in front of Napoli’s new offer.
The 20-year-old winger is highly rated at Manchester United and in the ongoing window, he is gathering attention amid suggestions the club could cash in to help their PSR situation and give Ruben Amorim wiggle room for signings.
Napoli and Chelsea are two clubs that are keen on signing Garnacho before the window slams shut.
The Italian outfit failed with their initial offer to convince Manchester United and it was suggested that an offer beyond €60m might convince the Red Devils.
Napoli have now come up with a €60m bid with €3m in bonuses in the event of the club finishing in the top two in Serie A.
According to Italian journalist Giovanni Capuano, the Red Devils’ resolve to keep hold of Garnacho in the face of the new Napoli offer is ‘wavering’.
But Napoli have yet to come to an agreement with Garnacho’s agent, who is said to be increasing the demands on the player’s side.
The Serie A giants are keen on completing the deal, but they do not want to wait for too long, as they are also evaluating alternatives to Garnacho.
Chelsea also remain in the mix for the Manchester United winger.
