After parting ways with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the winter transfer window, Napoli are on the hunt for a high-profile replacement. The Serie A side had reportedly been eyeing Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho to fill the gap left by the dynamic Georgian winger.

Kvaratskhelia made a major impact during his time in Italy, racking up 30 goals and 29 assists in 107 appearances. Replacing that kind of production won’t be easy, but Napoli see Garnacho as a player with the potential to rise to the challenge.

In recent months, Garnacho had been a name closely linked to Napoli, but as summer gets underway, that buzz has cooled. Now, attention is shifting to another Manchester United winger—Jadon Sancho—as the club explores its options to bring in a new attacking threat.

According to Sky Italy, Jadon Sancho has given the green light to a potential move to Napoli this summer, but there are still a couple of obstacles to clear.

One sticking point is reportedly Manchester United’s asking price, which Napoli consider too steep—especially with Sancho’s contract set to expire in 2026. Additionally, Napoli are said to be exploring other options, including Bologna winger Dan Ndoye.

ESPN reported, citing a source, that Chelsea would have to pay a £5 million ($6.7 million) penalty to break their original loan agreement with Manchester United, which included an obligation to buy Jadon Sancho for around £25 million.

The outlet also reported that Chelsea asked Sancho to accept a significant pay cut—he currently earns over £300,000 a week—to fit within the wage structure at Stamford Bridge, but talks broke down.
