Manchester United are hoping to go six games unbeaten as they welcome Everton to Old Trafford on Monday night.
Ruben Amorim’s men will be raring to go again after the international break as they look to return to winning ways after back-to-back draws. Kick off is at 20:00 GMT, with the game being shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
Manchester United (3-4-3): Lammens, De Ligt, Yoro, Shaw, Mazraoui, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dorgu, Diallo, Mbeumo, Cunha
The Red Devils will know they have to win as many home games as possible, with some tricky games coming around the corner ahead of the Christmas period.
They travel to Crystal Palace next week, before welcoming resurgent West Ham to Old Trafford. Then in December they’ll play Wolves away, Bournemouth at home before games against Aston Villa and Newcastle to round off 2025.
Amorim had plenty of question marks over his players ahead of this game, after knocks to Harry Maguire, Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo.
The Portuguese boss confirmed Maguire was not yet ready to feature, while Mainoo didn’t train on Friday ahead of the game.
One player who is certain to miss out on this game is striker Benjamin Sesko, who picked up a knee injury in the 2-2 draw at Spurs and went on to be absent for Slovenia’s World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo and Sweden. He is expected to be out for the next month at least.
One shining light for United through their unbeaten run has been the goalscoring form of Mbeumo, who has netted four goals in as many games.
That continued with the opening goal against Spurs last time out and the Cameroonian appears to be growing with confidence.
United will need him to step up against against Everton, especially after losing Sesko to injury. Mbeumo is averaging 2.45 shots per 90, with a shooting accuracy of 53.8 percent – by far the best of any United player this season.
He also has completed 0.85 take-ons per 90, scoring four ‘big chances’ and also creating 19 chances overall.
