Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho is generating buzz in the transfer market again, with rumours of an impending Old Trafford exit spreading like wildfire.

The Red Devils sent Sancho on loan to Aston Villa, where he has failed to make an impact, and there are already talks of returning him to Man United.

There are also rumours that Man United are considering letting him walk for free next summer to avoid being saddled with his massive wages for another year.

However, according to Sport 1, he is not a target for German giants Borussia Dortmund.

He had joined Manchester United from BVB in 2021 and went back on loan to the Bundesliga outfit in 2024, enjoying a small revival.

Still, journalist Oliver Muller described the Sancho to Dortmund links as a “running gag”.

Sancho’s time at Man United is coming to an end, and BVB looks like a possible escape route on paper, but ‘the Englishman is not at all a topic of discussion at Dortmund.’

Sancho’s career is at a crossroads, and the warning signs are impossible to ignore.

Once one of England’s brightest attacking talents, the 25-year-old now risks drifting into journeyman territory, yoyoing from club to club without finding a home or rhythm.

His story at Manchester United is about to end in unceremonious fashion, and his spell at Aston Villa has done little to rebuild his reputation.

The talent is still there, but his career trajectory suggests a player unable to seize control of his own narrative.

If Sancho doesn’t take the bull by the horns soon by committing himself and rebuilding his form, he could go down as one of modern football’s biggest “what ifs.”

It’s not too late for redemption, but the window is closing fast, and another misstep might consign his immense potential to football’s forgotten files.
