Manchester United decided to splash the cash on three marquee signings this summer after they acquired the services of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.

The Red Devils also managed to bring in Senne Lammens on deadline day. However, it remains to be seen whether signing three attackers and a goalkeeper would be enough for Ruben Amorim’s men to push for a European place in the Premier League this season.

Manchester United’s Summer Arrivals

Benjamin Sesko

Sesko arrived from RB Leipzig for €76.50m earlier this summer. The Slovenian striker had a decent goal-scoring record in the Bundesliga last season when he banged in 13 goals and grabbed five assists in 33 league matches for the German club.

However, Sesko has failed to score for Man United so far. A lot will be expected of him when he returns from this international break.

Bryan Mbeumo

The Mancunian giants decided to spend €75m to recruit Mbeumo from Brentford. The 26-year-old has made a positive start to his Man United career as he has already scored two goals in four appearances for them so far.

We can expect Mbeumo to be one of Amorim’s best players this season.

Matheus Cunha

Man United signed Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers for €74.20m earlier this summer. The Brazilian talent has managed to catch the eye at times for the Red Devils, but has gone scoreless for them in four matches thus far.

Cunha is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but he will be expected to start regularly for Man United this season.

Senne Lammens

On deadline day, Man United completed the capture of Lammens from Royal Antwerp for €21m. The Belgian keeper had a solid campaign in the Jupiler Pro League after he conceded 56 times and earned ten clean sheets in 44 matches for Antwerp across all competitions.

Has Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Done Enough Business This Summer?

Amorim made an effort to focus all his attention on strengthening his attack this summer. However, inconsistent performances from Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir in the early weeks of this season saw him go back to the transfer market to bolster his backline by recruiting Lammens as well.

Man United have got a few holes to fill in their first team. However, they have a better squad than last season. Still, there are some concerns over whether the Red Devils are good enough to challenge for European football this season.
