Manchester United are having the worst season in the Premier League. The goals are hard to come by for the Red Devils. They cannot afford the same thing to happen next season. That is why they are already looking for new signings for the summer transfer window.

One of the main positions they are looking to improve is upfront. Joshua Zirkzee failed to create the kind of impact Manchester United expected him to make. Erik ten Hag signed him from Bologna. The same is true for another striker that Manchester United signed from Serie A. Yes, I am talking about Rasmus Hojlund. As a lifelong Manchester United, he wanted to play for his dream club. But, he joined the club at a time when things were going south.

And, the lack of service in front of the goal is piling up the problem for the Danish international. Even though he ended his scoring drought by scoring the opening goal against Leicester City, he has yet to establish himself as a real threat in front of goal in the eyes of the opposition.

Now, there is a big chance that Manchester United might look to move him on. When he was in Serie A, he was a lethal striker. So, there is a demand from Serie A clubs to bring him back to the Italian league. And, Manchester United has a chance of doing a swap deal with an Italian club that could see them land a world-class striker at Old Trafford.

According to the latest Man United transfer news from Alex Crook on talkSPORT (via centredevils. on X), the Serie A leaders Napoli is showing interest in Rasmus Hojlund. The Italian club signed Scott McTominay from Manchester United last summer.

So, both clubs have a good relationship when it comes to doing deals. This will create a small window of opportunity for Manchester United to sign a prolific world-class striker who would be lethal in front of goal.

Currently playing for the Turkish side Galatasaray, Victor Osimhen has scored 20 goals in 22 matches in the Turkish league. He is on loan from Napoli. Next season, he will be back to Naples. But, the manager Antonio Conte doesn’t want to work with the player and the same goes for Osimhen.

So, moving him on could be the right step for the Italian club. And, they want to sign Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund. Thus, there is a chance of a swap deal which could see Manchester United signing a world-class striker in Victor Osimhen and Napoli could have the man they want, Rasmus Hojlund.

Look, there is no doubt that Manchester United need a striker who can finish even the half chances. They lack creativity upfront. We have also seen Alejandro Garnacho miss easy chances. They cannot let that happen if they want to challenge for major trophies.

Alex Crook already mentioned that the Hojlund-Osimhen swap deal is a possibility. He said;

But, we need to understand that Hojlund is not the only player that Napoli wants. They are also looking at Alejandro Garnacho to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who left for PSG. So, Manchester United will have the opportunity to sign Osimhen next summer.

And, signing a world-class striker like Osimhen will make complete sense as he will bolster United’s attack. Surely, United will score more goals with Osimhen as the striker than Hojlund. So, will this swap deal happen? We need to wait and watch.
