Manchester United waiting to sell Casemiro before signing Manuel Ugarté from PSG | OneFootball

According to The Guardian, Manchester United may have to wait for the sale of Casemiro before being able to advance on a move to bring Manuel Ugarté (23) to Old Trafford from PSG during the summer transfer window. The Red Devils have pinpointed the Uruguyan as their primary target for the defensive midfield position.

While United are keen to bring the PSG midfielder to the Premier League, they may be forced to wait for a sale of the Brazilian international before they can officially open negotiations with PSG. A loan move also remains a possible option. Foot Mercato report that the Red Devils are close to an agreement for the former Sporting CP midfielder.

Ugarté is not in Luis Enrique’s plans at PSG next season as he is deemed surplus to requirements. PSG are hoping to bring in new recruits in midfield including João Neves (19) and Joshua Kimmich (29). The sale of Ugarté may fund a potential move for one of the targets Luis Campos is monitoring in midfield.
