Manchester United are one of the clubs closely monitoring the situation of Red Bull Salzburg attacker Kerim Alajbegovic, according to Sky Sports journalist Ben Heckner.
Man United remain open to bolstering their attacking ranks despite bringing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to the Old Trafford club in the summer.
The German-born Alajbegovic has caught the eyes of the Red Devils following his impressive start to life at the Austrian Bundesliga.
The 18-year-old Man United target has six goals and one assist in 20 games so far in 2025-26 after notching 16 goals and 12 assists for the Bayer Leverkusen under-19s last term.
Alajbegovic has been praised for his ‘exceptionally polished technique’, and he became the youngest player to score for Bosnia and Herzegovina last month.
Man United are not the only ones keen on the German winger, with FC Porto and Chelsea also interested in recruiting his services, while Leverkusen have a buy-back clause in his deal.
Alajbegovic is primarily a left winger, but he can also play through the middle and signing him would give Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim more options in attack.
He loves shooting from distance and has scored several goals doing so, and Man United could do with his creativity and speed on the wings.
A January move for Alajbegovic is not on the cards right now and it is unknown whether any concrete efforts would be made to sign him in the summer.
However, he remains a player the Red Devils will continue to keep tabs on and could be a top target in the near future if he keeps impressing.
Man United have been experiencing an upswing in fortunes in recent games, and the impressive 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion last Saturday means they have won three Premier League games in a row for the first time since February 2024.
They travel to City Ground on Saturday to take on Nottingham Forest and would be desperate to pick up all three points to continue their outstanding run.
