Michael Carrick boosted by fitness of key man for trip to London Stadium

Manchester United have been boosted by the fitness of Bryan Mbeumo as they bid to make it five straight Premier League wins when they play West Ham.

Mbeumo was spotted limping after last weekend’s 2-0 win over Tottenham but Michael Carrick has allayed any injury fears and the £70million signing will lead the line.

Carrick could name an unchanged side at the London Stadium given United’s good form.

Mason Mount is closing in on a return but this game will come too soon for the midfielder, while Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt remain sidelined.

But United have no fresh injury issues as they bid to strengthen their spot in the Champions League places.

“Mason will be probably not for Tuesday, probably after, but definitely going into the Everton game, he’ll be back,” said Carrick on Monday.

“Matta, we'll see how he develops. The Everton game feels like a long time away at the moment, so we'll see how he develops, but he's positive, he's moving in the right direction, but Mason's a little bit closer than him.”

Matheus Cunha has come in for Dorgu over the past two games and is expected to keep his place on the left side of the front three.

Carrick does have the option of Benjamin Sesko if Mbeumo or Amad require a rest, while Bruno Fernandes is set to continue in the No10 role ahead of Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo.

Noussair Mazraoui's wait to dislodge Diogo Dalot at right-back is set to continue as Carrick can keep faith in a defensive unit that kept a clean sheet against Spurs.

Predicted Manchester United XI: Lammens; Dalot, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Amad, Fernandes, Cunha; Mbeumo

Injured: Dorgu, Mount, De Ligt

Time and date: 8.15pm GMT on Tuesday, February 10, 2026
