Reports in Italy claim that Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been offered to Serie A and Coppa Italia champions Inter, but the Nerazzurri currently have other priorities ahead of the summer transfer window, including the potential signing of Oumar Solet.
Cristian Chivu led the Nerazzurri to a domestic double during his first full season as a senior head coach and the club are hoping to provide the Croatian with a few reinforcements, particularly in defence and in midfield.
Senior squad members Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian will leave the club once their contracts expire at the end of June and there is a high chance that Stefan De Vrij follows them, too. Elsewhere, there have been reports that Yann Bisseck could potentially be sold to Bayern Munich for a significant profit this summer as well.
Several centre-backs have been linked with moves to San Siro ahead of the summer transfer window. Sassuolo’s Tarik Muharemovic has been a long-term target, but the Neroverdi are reportedly wanting to wait for the World Cup before discussing a potential sale with the hope that his market value increases during the tournament.
That leaves Udinese’s Solet as Inter’s current priority signing at the back according to the latest updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport. Marco Palestra, meanwhile, is a strong candidate to come in at right wing-back.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Maguire, recently left out of England’s World Cup squad, has been offered to the club by intermediaries from England.

Maguire, 33, penned a one-year contract extension at Old Trafford earlier this season, tying him to the club until the end of the 2026-27 campaign, and there is a growing chance he is allowed to leave the club this summer.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport indicates that Inter are not in a position to prioritise the signing of England’s highest-scoring defender at this stage.
