Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal, who recently returned to action after a long injury layoff, has shared his thoughts on which player he would love to see at the club – and his answer was Julian Alvarez.
The young midfielder is slowly regaining his rhythm after being sidelined for over a year due to a serious injury.
Bernal made his long-awaited comeback in the emphatic win over Valencia and even got a few minutes against PSG, marking an encouraging step in his recovery.
Speaking to Diari ARA, the 18-year-old took part in a quick-fire interview where he discussed his personal favourites and football preferences, including who he would bring to a party in Catalonia.
When asked which player he would sign for Barcelona, Bernal didn’t hesitate: “Julian Alvarez.”
Notably, the Argentine forward has been one of La Liga’s most consistent and explosive performers, quickly becoming a star at Atletico de Madrid.
His work rate, versatility, and sharp attacking instincts have made him a player admired across Spain and, evidently, within the Barcelona dressing room too.

Interestingly, Bernal also named Alvarez again when asked which player he would most like to face, showing his admiration for the Argentine’s talent.
With Barcelona reportedly interested in strengthening their forward line next season, Alvarez’s name continues to surface as one of the potential long-term options.
Beyond his football preferences, Bernal shared a few light-hearted insights into his teammates and personality.
When asked which three teammates he would take to a party, he replied, “Inigo Martinez, Fermin Lopez and Pau Cubarsi.”
On which stadium he’d most like to play at, the youngster smiled and said, “The Santiago Bernabeu.”
Asked which teammate has surprised him most in training, Bernal didn’t hesitate: “Frenkie de Jong.”
Lastly, as for the funniest in the dressing room, he named: “Fermin Lopez,” while revealing his best friends at the club are “Pau Cubarsi and Gerard Martin.”
