Corinthians football executive Marcelo Paz represented the club at Conmebol’s 10-year leadership celebration in Paraguay, presenting a customised Corinthians plaque to president Alejandro Domínguez with Fifa president Gianni Infantino in attendance.

As reported by Globo.com, Paz delivered the gift at president Osmar Stabile’s request. Back in the Libertadores group stage, Corinthians want to deepen their relationship with South America’s governing body.

Paz said the approach should be permanent, and that Corinthians ought to be a protagonist given its size and history. He added he spoke briefly with Domínguez and that the club had put itself at Conmebol’s disposal for the development and growth of South American football. He described the plaque as a gesture alongside Stabile’s message.

A light-hearted moment came when Paz introduced himself while posing with Infantino, who responded with "Vai Corinthians", a chant associated with the club’s fans.

Paz said many brought shirts, so they opted for something different, a plaque representing not only Corinthians but also São Paulo. The piece featured city symbols, including the Pacaembu facade, MASP, the dome of the Catedral da Sé and the patterned pavements shaped like the state of São Paulo.
