Mario Domínguez has agreed a new two-year deal with Valencia and will report for pre-season under Carlos Corberán.
According to AS, Valencia contacted his agency Leaderbrock in recent weeks to secure his continuity while adjusting his terms. When the club extended him to June 2026 after a serious knee injury, they inserted a unilateral option for three more years, exercisable until early June, but instead pursued a fresh agreement now reached.
Born in Granada in 2002, the striker was the reserve side’s top scorer with 16 goals this season, 10 across the last nine matches, proving pivotal in their survival. The agreement reflects a joint commitment by the club and his representatives to his development.
He will return to Paterna in the first week of July, then head to training camps in Girona and England. Corberán will have him from day one and the forward will compete to earn a place in Corberán’s plans.
Domínguez had proposals from professional clubs in Spain and abroad had he been a free agent, but accepted conditions framed within a defined sporting plan. His focus is on the opening weeks of pre-season as he looks to win Corberán’s trust.
