Marseille ‘shocked’ after Ligue 1 Plus posts Ousmane Dembélé taunt video

It was a tumultuous day at Olympique de Marseille, beginning with the early-hours confirmation that Roberto De Zerbi had left as manager by mutual consent, a move brought about by Sunday’s 5-0 Classique defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. Later, a league-owned broadcaster published a viral clip of Ousmane Dembélé taunting an OM player.

According to RMC Sport, Marseille were shocked by the release and accuse the broadcaster of trying to sink the club during an already difficult moment.

The footage shows Dembélé goading OM midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg during the heavy loss, while mocking captain Leonardo Balerdi as poor and saying he constantly mouths off.

The clip was posted by Ligue 1 Plus, the official broadcaster of France’s top flight, which is owned by the league and, by extension, the clubs.

Marseille are now in the market for a replacement for De Zerbi.
