Marti Cifuentes favourite for Championship return a week after Leicester City exit | OneFootball

Marti Cifuentes is being tipped for a rapid return to Championship management a week after his Leicester City sacking, with Watford facing a vacancy after Javi Gracia resigned.

LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports that the Spaniard lasted six months at the King Power Stadium. He was sacked after a home defeat to Oxford United, his 11th loss in 29 Championship games.

Gracia lasted only three months before stepping down following a home reverse to Swansea City. Watford are four points and four places outside the play-off spots, yet five points and six places above City.

BetVictor make Cifuentes the early favourite to succeed Gracia at 5-1. Will Still is priced at 6/1 and Russell Martin at 12/1, with both previously linked to the Foxes job.

It was claimed on Saturday evening that City have tried to lure Enzo Maresca back following his departure from Chelsea.
