Martin Drury, who worked under Carlos Corberan at West Brom, is fronting Huddersfield Town’s League One promotion bid as interim manager alongside Jon Stead until the end of the season, with the Terriers seventh and well placed for the play-offs.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 40-year-old stepped up in March after Liam Manning took compassionate leave, having joined in January as one of two additions to Manning’s staff.
A former Doncaster youth who played in non-league, Drury moved into coaching there and later had an interim spell at Bradford City. He then worked in Manchester United’s academy.
Corberan brought him to Albion in August 2024 to replace Michael Hefele. After six months he left, following the Spaniard to Valencia along with Corberan’s goalkeeper coach and assistant manager.
He departed Spain in the summer, returned to England and joined Keith Andrews’ coaching staff at Brentford. He left the Bees two months later before taking up his role at Huddersfield.
