Bradley Barcola has reportedly agreed a move to Liverpool after holding talks with Andoni Iraola.

Bradley Barcola is Liverpool's no.1 transfer target right now. It comes after they missed out on Yan Diomande, who first chose Paris Saint-Germain before deciding he actually wanted Real Madrid.

Anfield Watch exclusively reported back in April that Barcola was viewed as a 'market opportunity', however, and now it appears they want to go down that path. Not that PSG will make it easy.

The Athletic are one of several outlets quoting a €180m price tag for Barcola. He's viewed as an elite talent and above the likes of Morgan Rogers, who moved for close to £120m this summer.

Liverpool, however, aren't sure about that valuation. That's not to say they aren't still pursuing the transfer, though, and now L'Equipe has dropped a bit of a bombshell.

They report that Barcola has agreed a move to Liverpool in principle. This comes after talking with Liverpool and, importantly, Andoni Iraola. We can assume, then, that the new head coach gave Barcola the kind of assurances he was after.

And that's notable. The big problem with this move is that he typically plays from the left but Liverpool are chasing a player on the right. Exactly where he lines up for the Reds is entirely unclear - but regardless, he's happy to join.

Liverpool have priority here, then. They lead the race and are in key talks with player and clubs. The report makes it clear that the two clubs remain apart in valuation and a deal isn't close, but Barcola himself has said yes.

Hopefully, things can move quickly from here. Barcola may well be a Liverpool player before long and everything is moving in the right direction.
