The Premier League have confirmed their list of match officials to oversee proceedings at the London Stadium between West Ham and Manchester City on Saturday night.

Pep Guardiola’s side have to recover themselves both physically and mentally with urgency this week, ensuring that the undoubtedly deflated mood within the camp does not carry on over into their latest English top-flight outing.

Manchester City succumbed to somewhat of a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night, leaving them with a huge mountain to climb in the second-leg of the last-16 clash against Alvaro Arbeloa’s side at the Etihad Stadium.

Match Report & Player Ratings: Real Madrid 3-0 Manchester City (UEFA Champions League Round of 16 First Leg)

A first-half hat-trick from Federico Valverde capitalised on City’s inability to convert chances created at the other end of the field during the opening 20 minutes of the game, whilst Gianluigi Donnarumma kept out a Vinicius Junior penalty in the second-half.

Next up, Manchester City travel to the English capital to take on Nuno Espirito Santo’s West Ham United outfit, who have plenty to compete for themselves as they continue to fight for Premier League safety during the final matches of the campaign.

And ahead of the meeting between the Hammers and Manchester City, the Premier League have now announced the list of match officials to oversee proceedings at the London Stadium!

Match Referee

The Premier League have handed lead on-field match official duties to the highly-experienced Michael Oliver, who will be referee for Manchester City’s trip to the London Stadium.

The 41-year-old will be taking charge of his 31st contest across all competitions when he meets the Hammers and the Citizens this weekend, having officiated in the Premier League and Champions League, as well as the latter’s qualification round.

Across the course of his 30 matches so far this season, Oliver has issued a total of 97 yellow cards, with a further caution being a second bookable offence. There has also been one straight red card, and just one penalty awarded by the referee.

Interestingly, Manchester City are Michael Oliver’s fourth most officiated side in his top-level career, overseeing a total of 63 matches involving the Sky Blues, with 45 of those resulting in a City victory. The rest of those games have ended in seven draws and 11 defeats for the club.

Oliver has come across Manchester City on two occasions this season, with Pep Guardiola’s side yet to record victory having lost 1-0 away to Aston Villa in late October and held to a 1-1 home draw to Chelsea in early January.

Assistant Referees

Accompanying Michael Oliver at the London Stadium this weekend will be Stuart Burt and Nick Greenhalgh, who have been appointed into the roles of assistant referees for the contest.

Video Assistant Referees

Monitoring West Ham against Manchester City from the VAR Hub at Stockley Park this weekend will be Jarred Gillett in the position of Video Assistant Referee, seating alongside Marc Perry as Assistant Video Assistant Referee.

Fourth Official

Standing between the two dugouts and managing proceedings involving Nuno Espirito Santo and Pep Guardiola will be referee Sam Allison, appointed as the game’s Fourth Official.
