Milan are exploring options to potentially replace Christopher Nkunku, and according to Gazzetta, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Darwin Nuñez are on the Rossoneri’s agenda.

Multiple sources in Italy claim that Turkish side Fenerbahce have sent an opening offer to sign Milan striker Nkunku, and the Rossoneri are currently making assessments on the Frenchman’s future at San Siro.

Sidiki Cherif of Angers, scorer of four goals in the Ligue 1 this season, is among the Milan options and the report claims that the two clubs have already begun preliminary talks.

However, with Francesco Camarda expected to return from a loan spell at Lecce next summer, the Rossoneri might decide against signing another young striker.

Darwin Nuñez was a player Milan sounded out last summer and Gazzetta confirms that the ex-Liverpool man already wants to leave Al-Hilal, but the Saudi side’s demands will likely be pretty high.

The same goes for Jean-Philippe Mateta, a long-time Milan target, but Crystal Palace are unwilling to sell for less than €40m.

Mauro Icardi and  Joshua Zirkzee have Serie A experience and might be allowed to leave in January, but only in the second half of the month, as Galatasaray and Manchester United are short of options in attack due to the AFCON.

Last but not least is Rayan of Vasco Da Gama. The Brazilian is not exactly a centre-forward as he prefers playing as a winger or as an attacking winger.

Despite having an €80m release clause, he might leave for a lower fee because the Brazilian club are in a poor financial situation, but the competition for the 19-year-old will be fierce.
