Mateusz Klich set for Elland Road return at Leeds v Manchester United | OneFootball

Mateusz Klich will return to Elland Road on Sunday, with the Leeds United promotion winner set to be introduced to supporters at half-time of the Premier League meeting with Manchester United.

The club said in a statement that fans are asked to remain in their seats at the interval to welcome the former midfielder back.

Klich joined from FC Twente in June 2017 and became a key figure under Marcelo Bielsa as Leeds won the Championship in 2019-20. He made 144 appearances for the Whites, scoring 21 times, and is a Poland international.

Across that period he put together a run of 92 successive Championship starts.

He departed in January 2023 ahead of a move to DC United, signing off with a guard of honour as teammates wore shirts bearing his name.

Klich will also work as a pundit for Polish television at the Roses derby.
